A large irregular shaped pear with greenish-yellow skin. It has finely textured, white, sweet tasting flesh and is an excellent dessert and bottling pear. Crops well. Self-fertile but produces better with a partner. Pollinate with Beurre Bosc, Williams bon Chretien or Durondeau. Deciduous.
This pear was raised in 1896 by Mr Packham of Moolong, New South Wales and we've been growing and eating it ever since.
