Salvias are a diverse bunch of plants ranging from almost small shrubs to those that die down each winter to return every spring. As a groups of plants they generally flower from late spring and over the summer months. In the garden they prefer a sunny disposition and well drained soils that have been well fed. On a scale they are mostly pretty easy to grow and perform well.
