aka My Sister Red

Patio. A really showy, well-behaved compact, patio rose with masses of bright, fire engine red blooms. Flowers all season from summer through to autumn. Would look wonderful group planted or in a special container.

Described as well behaved and named in special memory of the breeder's (late) sister Marie.

Climber Modern. This is an absolutely gorgeous rose, beautiful in bud opening to deliciously double, fully cupped blooms with the most heady fragrance. The petals are softest velvety pink. Very feminine and pretty, shows good disease resistance too. 1991.

'Nahema' is also the name of a revered scent made by Guerlain.

Climber - Wichuraiana rambler. A well loved and much admired rose with clusters of semi-double, soft pink blooms that are sweetly scented. The complementary foliage shows good disease resistance. Flowers continuously throughout the summer and will tolerate poorer soils and some shade. 1930.

New Dawn was voted the World Federation of Rose Societies favourite rose in 1997 - 67 years after it was first introduced - now that's special. Also has a Royal Horticulture Society Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Hybrid Tea. Orange, golden-yellow blending. Slight pink to edges. Mild, sweet fragrance. Small to medium, double (17-25 petals), flat bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Glossy disease free bronze-tinged foliage. A strong growing upright plant. H.75cm SF. RP. 1982

aka AKA Parsons Pink China

China. This important heritage rose has been cultivated in China for centuries and was introduced to Europe around 1750. It has been used extensively as a 'parent' breeding rose. Small semi-double blooms of pink that fade as they age. Nicely fragrant with light green foliage and few thorns.

'Old Blush' will flower for months and will grow quite happily in light shade, tolerant of poorer soils. It does not like to completely dry out in summer.

Floribunda. A soft halo of creamy petals surround the lemon centre of this pretty flower. Petals are large and full and the flowers are collected in clusters for a fresh pale lemon effect. Expect masses of lightly fragrant flowers throughout the season. An exceptional rose, Bred in NZ by Rob Somerfield. 2025 release.

Floribunda Std. One of the very best purple roses with richly coloured deep purple petals that gently fade to lilac. At its best when fully open. Very fragrant and a strong grower with good disease resistant. 1991.
