The Fairy Std 80cm We are not expecting to have this plant in the foreseeable future aka AKA Black Jack Gallica. A tall growing rose with branches that have a slightly lax habit. The blooms are large, very fragrant and loosely double in a deep magenta shade that fades to violet as the bloom ages. Abundant with bloom mainly in summer. From Luxembourg 1856.

Named after the famous 17th century botanist. Arching sprays of wine-red, rosette shaped blooms that slowly fade to purple as they age. Delicious powerful fragrance. Hardy, reliable and repeats well. Can be used as a pillar rose. 1993
Tradescant We are not expecting to have this plant in the foreseeable future aka Kazanlink Damask. A very ancient rose used extensively in Bulgaria for attar of roses. This automatically tells us that the perfume is deliciously delightful i.e. this rose is very fragrant! The blooms are somewhat shaggy, double and shaded a warm pink. Spring flowering. From the Middle East -pre 1700.

Named after Sam McGredy's Uncle, this very good red rose is tall, upright and generally a vigorous healthy grower. It has shiny, dark green foliage and shapely deep scarlet flowers that appear continuously throughout the summer. Just lovely to pick. 1963.
