aka AKA Black Jack Gallica. A tall growing rose with branches that have a slightly lax habit. The blooms are large, very fragrant and loosely double in a deep magenta shade that fades to violet as the bloom ages. Abundant with bloom mainly in summer. From Luxembourg 1856.

Gallica. An upright rose that is a natural 'sport' from rose 'Tuscany'. The strong stems have few thorns and the dark crimson flowers are very strongly scented.
