aka Peace or Mme A Meilland Hybrid Tea. Possibly the world's favourite, best known and best loved rose. A delicate soft yellow edged with pink. Lightly fragrant blooms on a very sturdy vigorous bush. This truly superb rose was bred by Frenchman Francis Meilland and named by Field Marshal Alan Brooke to celebrate the liberation of France at the end of WW11. It is a fascinating story - worthy of further reading and certainly 'Peace' is very worthy of planting.
