This Banksia attenuata is dwarf Banksia growing 2-3m tall depending on the growing environment. The flowers are tall, cylindrical, and narrow, just like candlesticks and bright yellow. Flowers from mid-sping to winter. Leaves long and serrated. Likes well drained soils in full sun. Evergreen.

Deep scarlet to orange cones from flowers that appear in late winter to early summer and make a dramatic impact in gardens and as cut flowers. Prefers light, well drained soil with low nutrient level, particularly phosphates. This is an upright shrub with smooth bark and broad, tooth edged leave. Evergreen.

Can grow to 3 m, or prune to maintain as a shorter bushy shrub.
