It forms a wonderful cascading standard and it has a fresh green colour which is reminiscent of lawn. The foliage is very prickly, a common characteristic of many junipers. Most are pretty tolerant with soils, but they dislike a wet environment. Many will take quite alkaline conditions too.It is also often grown as bonsai.
