Robinia, native to the eastern United States, is a stunning ornamental tree that adds the “wow” factor in the garden. Robinias are a very upright tree with a straight trunk and a very graceful appearance. The leaves form in pairs on either side along a delicate spine; new spring leaves are lush and bright in shades of yellow, lime and green. The leaf layering format give the trees a “lace-like” appearance, particularly when there’s a gentle breeze moving them around.
