Hi

Autumn.
Well this is a very scary moment for me, Lloyd is away and this is the first time I've had to write the newsletter from start to finish! Sorry it will be a short one as there is so much happening here.
It has been a busy week with the first arrivals of the new seasons Camellias coming in by the thousands. Our team have been pushing and pulling trolleys to try and get everything on display (who needs a gym!!!). The newly emptied space where our deciduous trees would normally be is filling up quickly with row after row of amazing plants. Next to arrive will be the evergreen Azaleas, Michelias and then Rhodos in the following few weeks.
It's always great to see new product being put on display. I have to say that the new season Camellia standards and espaliers are some of the best I have ever seen. It's also a very sad year for us, Cambrian Nursery, who undoubtable supply a very high standard of A+ plants (Camellias, rhodos, azaleas) are officially closing their doors this year. We want to say a big thank you to Paul and Wayne who have dealt with us for over 35 years and producing some of the finest products on the market.
New Stock
Ang has just let me know we have received in some new stock this week which is looking stunning up at the shop.
Daphne Perfume princess and perfume princess white, these hybrid Daphne have larger flowers than most of their contemporaries with an incredible scent. Great for cut flowers as they will fill a room with the most amazing aroma.
Iresine or red blood leaf plant, we have received in three of these varieties, herbstii, lindenii and ruby glow. A vibrant tropical plant from Brazil with deep burgundy to pink leaves, great in pots or used as border or mass planted as a ground cover.
We have also just received in our Peony tubers, Peonies are old favourites for a late spring display, prized for their large, colourful and fragrant blooms. Plants form an upright bush of dark green leaves, remaining attractive all season.  Exceptional fragrance.
Autumn is upon us, tree season!
It's getting to that time of year that's perfect for planting. We still have an amazing selection of deciduous trees in stock, trees being my favourite I thought I would mention a few outstanding varieties that we still have available.
Acer Burgundy lace, a great Maple for those that love deep wine foliage. The attractive dissected leaves remain a gorgeous shade of red all year round intensifying in the autumn.  Very pretty and dainty.  Lovely landscape feature tree.
Betula Jacuemontii or Himalayan Birch, an attractive bright white bark, dark green leaves which turn yellow in autumn, and interesting catkins in spring. An elegant tree that is perfect for all gardens, large or small. Looks great group planting.
Nyssa Silvatica, The Tupelo or Sour Gum is an elegant specimen tree highly rated for spectacular autumn colour and the fact that it flourishes in swampy conditions. The summer foliage is glossy green,  lower branches are slightly pendulous in habit.
Cedrella Sinensis Flamingo or commonly known as the toon tree. It's all about the fabulous foliage which emerges in early spring. Initially the leaves are bright shrimp pink, gradually turning to bright green later in the season.
We are Still in sale mode, to make more space for new stock!
Roses 25% off as well as Fruit trees and much more

Roses are still looking amazing as we have sprayed, fed and cut these back and they are now in their third flower flush for year and all are 25% off the marked price. This includes all bush, standards and climbers. These are still available for online purchase.
Last season Camellias have been taken out of stock and are marked down, now from $12.00 (sorry not available for purchase online).

All fruit trees have now been shifted from bay 5 and 6 into bay 15 and 16 and still in alphabetical order.
We also have a range of deciduous trees on special check out the link here
That's it from me (Blair)...
Have a great weekend!
Cheers from Lloyd, Tony and the Wairere team.
