Harry Larry or Lloyd.. Whats in a name ?

Hi

I had to laugh when Harry told me that a customer called him Larry, Harry corrected him (probably in usual Harry style) saying that he was Harry. To which the client replied saying, yes I know but can never remember which one is Harry  or Lloyd and so now we both can be Larry. To be honest I  just answer to both.... and now Larry too LOL.
Its a bit like using common names of plants which, can often be the same name for several plants, where if you use it's proper name then there will be no mistake, well shouldn't be, but they wont correct you or answer back...

Autumn  is the  best planting time
Its offically Autumn and this is the best time of year to be planting trees, roses and shrubs, well most things as the ground stays warm for quite some time as the air temperatures cool down and those new plants that you get into the ground make really good root growth. Nothing really happens to see on top side of the things except for the fact that trees will continue to loose their leaves. But you wait till next spring, will they ever just go off and grow and all because their roots got going in the Autumn.
New seasons plants of the deciduous kind are usually ready for sale in June and July and this is because  the plants have lost their leaves and have gone into winter dormancy. Once the plants have lost their  leaves, growers can lift the plants heel them in and dispatch them off to all the retailers. Some seasons are later than others because the Autumn is dry and the poor growers need soil moisture before they can start lifting, but we still have heaps of stunning stock

Wairere's Awesome Autumn Sale,  Roses , Trees, Natives

I know that its still early in the week but I had to let you all know first, before the radio and TV adverts hit the airwaves starting this weekend. We are going to need the space so have now put all our existing roses at half price. Now you know that I will have looked after them all season with food and spraying and they are looking pretty sharp for this time of year and so they are a great bargain. I'm sure that they will just fly out so be in quick and have some second choices in mind just in case that last one isn't there for some reason or other. These can be couriered as per normal  but normal freight applies.

Now we couldn't just have the roses on sale so have been going through our trees stock and have sorted out fruit trees, flowering Cherries, Maples, Cercis and other ornamental s and put them out there from just $20.00. Sorry but we are unable to courier these, but bring on out a trailer and load up.

Day lilies are all reduced to clear and make space for the new season and to just $10 a plant,. nearly half price!  Hemerocallis or mostly known as Day lilies are really hardy and will just about grow anywhere. Mass plant a bank or a dry garden with them.
Raspberries all Just $3.00 These are great established plants with fruiting size canes on them. Train a few of them along a fence and pick your own berries

OMG but when H Thinks that he gunna have a sale well its a real sale and he has been busy shopping up a storm for other bargains to really make it well worth coming out for a good gander. His sister works for a Native supplier  of ours and the two of them have had their heads down bantering and bartering over prices and there are some pretty cool natives in there for some good prices,. I mean who could go past a Pseudopanax called Moa's Toes or another one with attractive goldish foliage called Goldfinger
