Fragrant Roses   A selection of “Our Top Picks”

Before we start to list these beauties, please know that a sense of smell (olfaction) is objective, that is, what one might consider a strong or sweet fragrance, another might not!   There are many factors that can heighten, diminish, distort or affect an individual’s sense of smell. Changes to smell can be temporary, long term or in some cases permanent.
Humans can detect over 10,000 different odours; our sense of smell helps to detect hazards, stimulate emotions and memory, experience taste and facilitate social communication.

A partially open rose bloom has a stronger, more concentrated fragrance; the optimal time to detect a rose's fragrance is in the early morning or evening, as during the sunniest part of the day the natural oils evaporate, causing the scent to fade.

A pleasant rose scent can improve your mood, trigger positive memories and even impact on your emotional well-being.

These are our top pics, but there are many more fragrant roses we have available.
