This is a shrubby form of Hardenbergia with large leathery green leaves. In winter-spring the shrub is covered in pretty purple pea-like flowers that put on quite a dazzling display. Likes a sunny well drained position with protection from harsh frost. Trim after flowering. Evergreen. PVR

Coral Pea. An evergreen twining climber with leathery green foliage. Clusters of little "pea like" pink flowers appear in late winter-spring smothering the foliage. Likes a sunny well drained spot with protection from harsh frost. Avoid Lime. Very pretty and evergreen.

Hardenbergia is evergreen but will respond well to being cut back to encourage new growth.

Lacecap. This is a very rare, self-clinging, climbing Hydrangea that hails from Mexico. The evergreen leaves are large, serrated and dark green. The flat white flower heads open from large buds and appear en masse in summer. Protect from harsh frost. Evergreen.

An interesting plant that can be used to cover an unsightly wall or fence, perhaps use it to cover a water tank if you live rural. Jasminum mesnyi is one of the true yellow jasmines. This ornamental climber is both vigorous and hardy. They rich yellow flowers are not known to be fragrant but for sheer colour display it is a winner. Responds well to pruning after flowering. Excellent bonsai jasmine. Evergreen.

Pink Jasmine. An evergreen, twining climber with masses of pink flower buds late winter- early spring, followed by an abundance of sweetly fragrant white flowers. As much as it will climb it also makes a great groundcover.

Masses of fabulously fragrant, tubular, white flowers that turn deep yellow, and are streaked red outside, smother this honeysuckle in late spring. In hot summers, the flowers may be followed by small, bright red fruits. Deciduous and earlier flowering than many other varieties, this one will quickly cover a boundary wall or fence in full sun or partial shade.
