This rose produces masses of semi-double pink to soft lavender flowers that have a white central zone highlighted with yellow stamens. The blooms have a lovely fragrance. Very free-flowering. The flowers are coloured a rich salmon with coppery apricot overtones. Nice shiny foliage that also has tones of copper. Repeats on and off throughout the season especially if in a nice sunny spot. 1900.

The flowers are shades of salmon pink with coppery overtones. The foliage is glossy green and also has coppery overtones. Nice fragrance and plenty of blooms. A pleasing rose dating back to 1900.

It is a few years since I had 'Paul Transon' in my garden but it was a rose I always admired and enjoyed growing.

This truly superb rose was bred by Frenchman Francis Meilland and named by Field Marshal Alan Brooke to celebrate the liberation of France at the end of WW11. It is a fascinating story - worthy of further reading and certainly 'Peace' is very worthy of planting.
