An Italian bred Pear that dates back to 1956. Quite a dumpy pear with greenish-yellow skin that has an attractive red blush. The flesh is white and is very juicy with a rich flavour that is sweet and spicy. Ripens early, around Feb/March. Deciduous.

Triomphe de Viennes was a chance seedling discovered growing near the town of Viennes close to Lyons in South Eastern France. It is very much in the style of early Belgium and French dessert pears being oblong in shape, green in colour with much russetting, crisp white juicy flesh with good texture

Newly developed pear known for its exceptional silky texture, high juice content, and long shelf life. The fruit is a lovely bronze over a green background and offers a rich and sweet flavour often compared to a juicy avocado with tropical notes. Deciduous.

This late season variety is a heavy cropper and does best with cross-pollinator Nashi ‘Reddy Robin’.
