In the meantime you have a tree with a nice thick trunk topped off with a spreading umbrella of grey/green needles. Makes a great potted Xmas tree. Evergreen.

Not only is 'Meyric' a fast growing stately tree it has been selected by the NZ Tree Crops Association as an excellent cultivar for nut production - harvest in approx 5 years. Large nuts are produced on a relatively large tree. Self-fertile, improve yields with another Walnut tree nearby. Deciduous.
