Native. Ake Ake. A no fuss evergreen foliage shrub that can be used for hedging or background planting. The slightly wavy leaves are shaded purple and bronze and will have better colour if not over-fed or pampered. Will grow just about anywhere except full shade. Evergreen.

The quintessential hedge for traditional English or formal gardens. Soft undulating green foliage that turns reddish brown in autumn and holds on to the tree almost until the new foliage emerges in spring. Smooth grey bark. If left untrimmed forms a large pyramidal tree. Deciduous.

Bred by Jack Hobbs from the Auckland Botanical Gardens this is a tolerant little Hebe with delightful bright pink flowers that smother the stems from early summer. Dainty small leaves that clip well - makes a tidy low hedge. Plant in a sunny well drained position. Very easy care. Evergreen.
