This giant perennial succulent makes a real statement especially when planted in groups of 3 or more. The broad gray-green leaves form a perfect large rosette. Will thrive in poor dry soil but will not tolerate harsh frost. Looks good in a container. Evergreen.

Once Agave have flowered the mother plant will die down leaving the offsets to continue growing.

Well this is one Muffin you can't eat but plant it in a semi-shaded spot and will reward you by making a carpet of foliage topped off with spikes of sky blue flowers in spring. Great ground-cover with rosettes of dark green foliage. Tolerant of light frost but not hot dry conditions. Evergreen.

It is important that Ajuga does not completely dry out in summer. This plant will tolerate morning sun but must have afternoon shade or dappled light to do really well.

A popular perennial with florists because of the sprays of double white fragrant flowers held above the foliage on wiry stems. Does well in a sunny well drained spot. Cut back the first flush of flowers to encourage re-bloom. Doesn't like being moved so choose your planting spot well.

Though Gypsophila is hardy it is seldom very long lived - good drainage and deep alkaline soil that is not too heavy will help it thrive. Calcium and magnesium help keep the pH high and a side dressing of a little Lime wouldn't hurt either.

Black Taffeta has silky, textured and ruffled black foliage. Leaves are large, darker and shinier than ‘Chocolate Ruffles’. The climate tolerance of this Heuchera (a villosa/micrantha/sanguinea cross) is second to none and the darker foliage makes makes it more sun tolerant than most.

Heuchera Fire Alarm has fiery, red hot foliage in early spring and fall. Spikes of pink, bell-shaped flowers shimmy above reddish stems in summer. A superb companion with other seasonal garden color. Provides bold texture and color contrast in mixed containers or borders in bright or dappled shade.

Heucheras look best fabulous when mass planted as an edging or for mass planting under trees. Mix with other coloured Heuchera for great effect.

This frilly confection of ruffled lime coloured foliage is an excellent plant to add drama to shady corners of the garden. Tolerant and easy to grow but must be in semi-shade. Stems of little bell like flowers in spring but really its all about the foliage. Perennial.

To make a strong impact plant in large groups or use as an edging plant in a shady spot. This low calorie 'Lime Marmalade' is well worth a try.

Also known as Vietnamese coriander, Cambodian mint and laksa leaf this has to be my favourite Asian herb. This perennial, which has striking pointed leaves, lime green in colour with dark inner markings. With purple stems the whole plant has a wonderfully strong citrus aroma with a taste to match.

Bromelliad. This small bromeliad produces leaves arranged in an urn shape which collect rainwater in the base. Leaves are red if grown in full sun but revert to green if planted in shade. Leaves are oblong with rough, serrated margins.

A prostrate form of Rosemary that has a ground-hugging habit. Pretty, clear blue flowers set against blue-green, aromatic foliage. Flowers through the summer and will attract bees to the garden. Extremely hardy, excellent for coastal planting and hot sunny positions. Evergreen.

Gorizia Rosemary was named for the town (Gorizia, Italy) in which it was discovered. A mildew resistant variety, the large, flat leaves of this selection are unusual for Rosemary, making it unique and very appealing. Gorizia has an upright habit and sports large light lavender-blue flowers in spring. Use with meats, vegetables, and bread recipes.

Elegant and exotic, clump forming perennial with the most unusual, tall spikes of orange and blue blooms that resemble a bird's head. Large, wide swords of blue-grey foliage. Quite easy to grow in a sunny, well drained position with protection from frost. Evergreen.

Strelitzia are quite frost tender when young but do become a little more hardy as the clump matures. They take a few years to flower but it you like a sense of drama in the garden it will be well worth the wait.

Lemon Thyme is is known to be especially mouth-watering with poultry and in salads. An herb whose scent is regularly described as astonishing, it is super delicious when added to herb butters and herbed bread. IHoneybees love the flowers of the thyme plant! Perennial

Thymus Lemon's slow mounding habit is beautiful in the landscape as a border or edging plant.
