aka Pee Gee Hydrangea
Paniculata. An award winning Hydrangea with large conical flower heads that put on a magnificent display in summer-autumn. Flowers open a fresh shade of chartreuse, then gradually turn cream and finally become a deep smoky shade of pink. Best in humus rich soil, sun or part shade. Deciduous.
As this Hydrangea flowers on the new growth it is best pruned in early spring if in fact any pruning is required. If left to grow to its full potential it will put on a stunning display. Quite fast growing - the bloom colour is reliable regardless of the soil pH.
