Oak Leafed Hydrangea. This is just a gorgeous top performing deciduous shrub. The deeply lobed green leaves turn orange-scarlet in autumn and hold well into winter. In spring, delicious large, clusters of cream flowers appear and these also hold well. Hardy and easy to grow. Prune hard late winter-early spring.

Floribunda. Discovered in 1995 this sport of 'Iceberg' has semi-double, honey scented blooms of bright cerise pink. There is just a hint of cream in the centre highlighted by pink stamens. Has all the fine attributes of 'Iceberg' and a healthy and vigorous rose that is generous with bloom.

This rose is AKA Schneewittchen, Fee des Neiges and Korbin in other parts of the world - aren't you glad it's just called Iceberg in NZ? No matter what the name is - this is just a great rose, well worth planting.

aka Japanese Holly

Fabulous form and foliage make this Holly a useful and desirable plant. Growing naturally upright and columnar it looks great in containers or used as an accent point. Happy in sun or part shade. Small white flowers followed by black berries but these are fairly inconspicuous. Evergreen.

This is also a useful plant where a narrow screen or hedge is required, it will do the job without dominating or becoming a constant trimming problem.
