Erica melanthera is a compact, bushy, shrub with bright green, small, needle-like leaves and purple/pink flowers that inundate the plant in autumn and winter. Prefers a sunny spot in the garden and well drained acid soil. Avoid Lime. Trim after flowering to maintain shape. Evergreen.
