Serrated green leaves with purple tones to the under-side, clusters of pink flowers in spring which are followed by juicy black berries that birds love. Grows happily in the sun in most soils as long as they are not too dry. Tolerates light frost. Semi-evergreen.
Berries will only occur on the female tree if pollination occurs. The Wine-Berry has separate male and female trees.
