Here's something just a bit different to add contrast and texture to your planting schemes. Golden stems covered with tiny dark green leaves twist and turn to form a mat of dark green. Dainty yellow flowers in summer sometimes followed by black berries.

The twisting, tangled stems of this native Climber make for an interesting and useful plant that can be trained as a climber or used to scramble informally wherever you want quick cover and a plant of interest. Plant in morning sun in soil that does not completely dry out in summer. Semi-evergreen.

The flowers on the female form of Muehlenbeckia are inconspicuous but emit a pleasant fragrance. The flowers are followed by little white berries. This plant also responds well to clipping and is often used for informal topiary work.

Generally it is found on lower hills and inland valley floors where soil is fertile and well drained. It is a medium-sized evergreen tree that has small, crinkly leaves that vary from brown-green to bronze-red. Loves a warm climate thats moist and sheltered from hot winds. Evergreen. Native.

The most floriferous of the olearias. In spring this shrub is smothered in large clusters of white daisy-like flowers. Known as 'Tree daisy' this is an evergreen NZ native shrub. It is medium growing and bushy with narrow, pointed, thin leathery dark green leaves. Flowers borne in large panicles.

Thrives well in windy conditions. Great for hedging, very clippable, or use in boarder or shrub garden.

This native Daisy is not the easiest of plants to grow but if you have just the right position it is well worth the effort. Large grey green, leathery leaves are highlighted in summer by crisp white daisy flower heads with a yellow centre. Must have a sunny spot with excellent drainage. Evergreen.

Native. A pretty free flowering little shrub with dainty evergreen foliage and myriads of little white blooms with a hint of lavender in the centre that will delight from spring to summer. A very handsome native tree with a straight tapering trunk & light grey smooth bark. The green foliage is often described as celery-like hence the common name of Celery Pine. The Maori name Tanekaha means virile & strong. No matter what it's called this is a desirable specimen tree. Evergreen.

A NZ Native, mat forming ground cover with tiny, white starry, fragrant summer flowers and attractive blue foliage. Great in rockeries or for mass plantings to cover banks and retaining walls. Grows in full sun and part shade, coastal hardy and happy in dry soils.

Native. New Zealand Daphne. A delightful little plant that loves to scramble over rocks or drape over walls and banks. The dainty foliage is a soft blue/green colour and the small white flowers appear in summer. The flowers are followed by small clear white berries.
