aka Lions Ear

Semi-evergreen shrubby perennial that hails from South Africa. The tall straight stems of aromatic foliage are topped off in summer and autumn with whorls of bright orange, furry, tubular flowers. Very striking. Plant in the sun in well drained rich soil for best results. Protect from frost. Semi-evergreen.

Leonotis or as it is commonly known 'Lion's Ear' will tolerate dry periods once it is established. Can be grown in coastal conditions. Cut back stems quite hard after flowering.
