A very distinct variety with silvery green bracts topped with a purplish red beard. A rather slow growing but has a neat growth habit. Suited to most well drained acidic soils in a sunny open position. Evergreen.

Prune in late Spring to shape.
Suitable for warmer areas including Auckland/Northland

NEW TO US. A striking plant noted for it dark red new growth and stunning deep red flowers in Spring. It can grow into quite a large spreading shrub as it matures so allow it some space to grow. Plant in an open sunny position with acidic, well draind soil.

Prune back late Spring to maintain shape and size.
