An unusual Japanese Wisteria that flowers after the new leaves have emerged in spring. Dark purple buds open to deliciously double violet blooms on racemes up to 2 feet long. Plant where you can enjoy the fragrance and look upwards at the beautiful hanging racemes. Deciduous.
