Its a Beautiful Day so Why Not!!

Hi

It's such a perfect spring, plenty of warm beautiful days and in good ole Waikato style regular rain to keep everything growing at the rate of knots. Im sure that I can see the plants grow but that's not what I'm on about. We have been busy as beavers getting our garden up to scratch for Todays Dios Day Out.

We have weeded, trimmed, planted and mowed so that we look good for today!  I really enjoy working in my own garden (a rare event) and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting in there doing the edges and sorting the spirals and I'm sure that the team that has helped has had fun too!! All spruced up it looks fab and if I do say so myself, well worth a visit...

These garden day outs are an excellent way to see new plants and the different ways that plants can be used or just a fun day out with friends. I love looking at different gardens and it never ceases to amaze me how clever and creative people are. The best part is that gardens are just extensions of your home and personality and there is nothing nicer than enjoying your space with a drink and friends. Lol a drink or two !!

Now if you're keen to get out there is still time as I got this email saying that you can get tickets this morning from -

                                - 8.30am at Dio from the Piki Mahuta Centre, Martin St entrance
                                - 8.30am The Fire Pot Cafe Gordonton

                                - 9.00am Garden No 20     206 Puketaha Rd, Puketaha

Fluff in the garden

Dahlia    Geum    Iris Bearded    Pelargonium

I call it fluff but its all that stuff that is the pretties and at this time of year there is heaps of different fluff coming in and its all good
This week there are some awesome pelargoniums and I have even got in some fuchsias, (don't say this one drunk) and wait for this but next week there are some bearded Irises due in. Siberican Irises came in this week also and they are way cool and good for a damp spot.

Pelargonium    Ivy Geranium     Verbascum

Topiary Plants

Antiqued Pots

Raspberries

Roses

The roses are on the verge of flowering and they are all looking gorgeous and worth even just a look. Last year the fragrance from all the roses scented the air all round in the nursery. Its the time to be on the look out for Aphids and Black spot with these periodic showers that we are getting. If you see any starting then a quick spray will halt its progress especially if you do a quick couple of sprays a couple of days apart.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Have a great weeknd

Cheers,

Lloyd and Harry
