A heritage apple from 1872. A classic russet, with a very rich, sweet, nutty flavour. Distinctive, thick, olive green-brown skin. The flesh is cream tinged with green. Compact tree that can be successfully grown in a container. Spur bearing. Ripe around March. Deciduous.
