A dense multi stemmed evergreen shrub with an upright spreading habit. It's relatively fine texture sets it apart from other landscape plants with attractive dark green foliage, smooth bark, spiny narrow leaves which remain dark green through the winter and it's abundance of magnificent red berries in late fall.

Prefers moist, well drained and acid soils.

A lovely evergreen Holly with deep green foliage that has a purple-blue overtone highlighted by dark purple stems. The small white flowers are followed by red berries if pollination has occurred therefore best planted with Ilex Blue Prince the larger male form. Evergreen

This is also a useful plant where a narrow screen or hedge is required, it will do the job without dominating or becoming a constant trimming problem.
