This is a lovely little shrub that smothers itself in tight clear pink buds that gradually open to pink flowers that have a hint of white. The flowers last for a very long time. Grow in morning sun or a dappled shade position in rich, moist, acid soil for best results. Hardy and evergreen.

An unusual shrub which is valued for its ability to grow in difficult conditions - it will even tolerate dry shade but doesn't like harsh frost.
