Native. An easy to grow shrub which is invaluable for difficult sites as it is tolerant of almost any conditions including coastal. Fresh bright green foliage highlighted by red stems. Particularly useful for hedging. Always looks neat and tidy, trims exceptionally well. Evergreen.

Bred by Jack Hobbs from the Auckland Botanical Gardens this is a tolerant little Hebe with delightful bright pink flowers that smother the stems from early summer. Dainty small leaves that clip well - makes a tidy low hedge. Plant in a sunny well drained position. Very easy care. Evergreen.

A lovely evergreen Holly with deep green foliage that has a purple-blue overtone highlighted by dark purple stems. The small white flowers are followed by red berries if pollination has occurred therefore best planted with Ilex Blue Prince the larger male form. Evergreen

Ideal for using as a low hedge or screen. Clips well really. Tolerant, hardy and easy to grow. Looks wonderful combined with blue annuals and perennials.

'Sky Sentry' AKA as 'Sky Pencil' is a wonderfully architectural plant with its strong upright, columnar habit. The small, dark green, glossy leaves hug the upright stems and always look tidy. Use where you want to make a punctuation mark in the garden. Easy to grow in sun or part shade.

'Sky Sentry' is a female form of Holly but needs a male for the flowers to turn into berries. Currently there is no male form on offer. 'Sky Sentry' has been awarded a Royal Horticulture Society Award of Garden Merit.

This is a top 10 shrub which not only looks good it tastes good as well! The leathery dark green foliage is highly aromatic and popular for cooking. This same foliage clips extremely well making the 'Bay' perfect for hedging and topiary work. Easy to grow. Evergreen.

Lavandula. An 'English' type Lavender with deliciously aromatic foliage and flowers. The grey leaves are off set by dark purple flower heads that appear from summer through to early autumn. Makes a lovely hedge. Trims well (after flowering). Plant in a sunny well drained position. Evergreen

After trimming your Lavender dry the flower heads to use for potpourri. Top tip - put dried Lavender in the vacuum cleaner bag to perfume your whole home and keep the vacuum smelling sweet.
