Climber. AKA 'Purezza'. A sweet little rose that has dark green foliage and thorn-less stems that will grow to 3-4m. During spring and summer clusters of small, double, white blooms appear. Nice soft fragrance. Good disease resistance, hardy and frost tolerant. Semi-evergreen.

Damask. An ancient Rose that has an uncertain history but could possibly be from Iran. The dark pink-purple rosette shaped blooms are borne on slender stems in summer and have a strong fragrance. Responds well to hard pruning. To quote the Rosarian Peter Beales "well worth a place in any garden"

Gallica. AKA Gallica An ancient rose (12th -17th Century) that is the stuff of myth and legend. It is hardy with few thorns and matt green foliage. The semi-double blooms are a very striking combination of crimson, pink and are pleasantly scented. Summer flowering. Deciduous

Shrub. This strongly growing shrub rose is a very reliable performer. Glossy dark green foliage and single flowers that are blush pink on the edges with a cream central zone. Nicely prominent golden stamens complete the picture. Fragrant flowers appear continuously throughout the summer. 1979.

This is a good rose to use for hedging as it is quite broad in habit being wider than it is tall.

Hybrid Tea. This rose is beautiful in shape, unusual in colour and highly fragrant. The large double blooms are shaded a rich velvety purple-mauve. Dark green foliage and a vigorous growth habit with a generous amount of blooms throughout the season. Nice. 1989.

Hybrid tea. A lovely rose with large, full, colourful flowers that are a blend of orange, yellow and pink. Free flowering with a nice strong perfume. Excellent cut blooms. Royal Dane is a lovely bushy plant with upright growth and glossy dark green foliage. 1971. Deciduous

Hybrid Tea Std. Immaculate, perfectly poised blooms of pristine white, with the faintest hint of apricot in the bud. Beautifully formed flowers open from the spiral shaped buds. Softly scented, nice glossy green foliage and plenty of blooms throughout the season. Really lovely. PVR. 1997.

This rose has high susceptibility to downey mildew and we no longer stock it.

Rugosa - Species. Glossy deep green foliage and enormous (10cm) flowers of pure white that are single and richly scented. A circle of golden stamens highlights the blooms which repeat on and off from spring to autumn. Lovely autumn foliage colour and red hips. Introduced to England in 1870.

As with all Rugosas this is a hardy and tolerant rose that copes well with poorer soils and even a little shade. Originally found in areas of Russia, China and Japan. Hips are used for Jam, Jelly and Tea.

Shrub. Everybody just loves our Sally. A stunning rose with regular and generous trusses of single flowers in shades of softest pale pink to white. Sturdy, vigorous, disease resistant growth habit, will even tolerate a little shade. Perfect for mass grouping. A really good rose. 1976.

Floribunda. Gorgeous vintage style, soft champagne pink-blooms with exquisite fragrance. Easy care, healthy plant with upright, taller growing habit. The unique, large multi-petal clusters repeat flower on long stems - wonderful for picking! PVR
