aka Scarlet Banksia

Deep scarlet to orange cones from flowers that appear in late winter to early summer and make a dramatic impact in gardens and as cut flowers. Prefers light, well drained soil with low nutrient level, particularly phosphates. This is an upright shrub with smooth bark and broad, tooth edged leave. Evergreen.

Can grow to 3 m, or prune to maintain as a shorter bushy shrub.

Heath Banksia Bushy large shrub with large golden brown flowers in Autumn-Winter which attracts nectar feeding birds. Ideally suited to an open sunny situation. Adaptable to many soil types. Responds well to pruning to maintain shape and size.

A large shrub to small tree bearing large greenish-yellow cone shaped flowers attractive to nectar eating birds. Prune after flowering to maintain size and shape. Flowering occurs from spring through to mid summer. The flowers are followed by very large fruiting cones. Evergreen.

Adaptable to most conditions including coastal and is frost hardy.
