Seedless Sweet Gum. A slightly different form of Liquidambar with lobed leaves that have rounded edges. Green in spring-summer with lovely fiery autumn tones prior to leaf fall. Natural pyramidal shape. Makes a very handsome specimen tree for those that have space to allow it to develop. Deciduous. Est.10yr.growth.

Liquidambar rotundiloba is a sterile cultivar and therefore is seedless.

A very special deciduous tree with a upright columnar (fastigate) habit. The distinctive fresh green foliage is large and lobed and turns a warm golden yellow in autumn. The summer flowers are also most distinctive - tulip shaped, fragrant and coloured green with an orange base. Deciduous.

The Liriodendron is commonly known as the 'Tulip Tree' because of the shape of flowers. 'Arnold' may take 3 to 4 years to flower after planting. Happy in sun or part shade in deep acid soil that does not dry out completely in summer.

The Liriodendron is a close relative of the Magnolia and likes the same type of deep acid soil. It is more tolerant of moisture than the Magnolia. A perfect memorial tree to celebrate a birth. Give this tree the space it deserves to reach its full magnificence.

Raised in NZ by Vance Hooper this hybrid will flower from a young age. Its growth habit is shrub like but with upright growing branches. The spring flowers are large and a rich deep violet red shade. Dark green foliage. Plant in a wind free spot in acid soil.
