Don't allow the soil to dry out. Foliage will turn yellow then brown if it gets too dry. It's a good idea to keep your corkscrew rush plant in a pot without a drainage hole. Juncus is native to marsh areas, so it loves soggy soil

Insects such as bees and butterflies love its lilac-coloured flowers and you will love its tasty leaves which can be used just like those of other mint plants. It prefers pond edges and swampy areas. Does best in full sun or part shade. Perennial.

Easy grow submerged plant that tolerates cool temperatures if sheltered. Plants will grow submerged up to 5cm, or in a moist margin of a pond. The flowers are bright yellow and are produced on long stems in summer time.
Suitable for warmer areas including Auckland/Northland

Aquatic. NZ native. Beautiful with its feathery foliage that carpets the water surface. Grows well by the pond edge or near moving water. Can grow at any depth and it will stretch until it reaches the surface. Excellent for fish spawning. Winter tolerant.

Aquatic. This has green pine-tree shoots that grow as a ground cover or can be fully submerged. It will extend up and carpet the water surface when grown submerged. Prefers full sun to shade areas. Relatively winter hardy.

Excellent for oxygenating and maintaining clean water and providing protected enviroments for small fish and wildlife.

This prolific little aquatic plant develops pretty red leaf-tips if grown in bright light. It is easy to grow and will develop leaves of different shapes depending on whether or not it is fully immersed in water. When submerged, the leaves are narrow while emergent plants develop rounded leaves.
