Austin. A vigorous grower with mid green foliage and masses of sweetly scented, loose-petaled, cup shaped, clear pink blooms that darken slightly as they mature. Flowers from summer to autumn, good disease resistance, easy to grow.

The 'Mary Rose' was the flagship of Henry VIII and was in turn named after his sister.

Floribunda. Light orange red blooms with white reverse and edges of petals. Free-flowering all summer on a healthy and compact bush. Bred by Sam McCready 1975. One of the handpainted roses, that is, it appears an artist has hand-painted the flower edges in a different colour. Lovely!

Climber - Hybrid Tea. Peter Beales describes this as an "outstandingly beautiful climber." I agree! If you like single roses you will love Meg's large, scented blooms of buff yellow flushed with apricot and peach. Prominent russet-red stamens complete the picture.
