Grevillea is an evergreen shrub with curiously shaped flowers, hence its common names Spider Flower, Silky Oak and Toothbrush plant. Add winter colour to your garden with Grevillea, they grow in most NZ climates, some varieties will not tolerate frost, so choose the plant best suited to your environment. Flowers appear generally from winter into summer, some varieties flower year-round. Easy to grow and easy care, Grevillea like a sunny sheltered position. For best results prepare the area before planting by digging in well-rotted compost. Grevillea varieties include ground covers, small and medium sized shrubs and striking standards.

A free flowering shrub with dark green foliage that is white underneath. 'Spidery' clusters of bright red and yellow flowers put on a display from winter through to summer. Likes a nice hot dry spot free from frost. Not fussy about soil type and doesn't need fertilizer to do well. Evergreen.
