Introduced in the 1960's and named by a Waikato Orchardist in memory of his sons that were killed in WWII. A delicious plum with large dark red skinned fruit and red sweet tasting flesh. Quite a vigorous grower. Deciduous.

aka Plumcot

Is it a plum? Is it an apricot? No it's a Plumcot - a hybrid of both. The fruit looks more like a plum but is a golden apricot colour. The flesh is very sweet with an intense flavour and full of Vitamin A. Ripens around February. Pollinate with Plum Duff's Early Jewel or Santa Rosa. Deciduous.
