'Whistler' produces high yields of small to medium sized high quality fruit full of Vitamin C. Ripe around December-January. Vigorous with good disease resistance and cold tolerance. Grow in sun or part shade in deep acid soil for best results. Deciduous.

Black currants will grow in sun or semi-shade. They like deep acid soil that does not completely dry out in summer. They fruit on the new growth that has developed after pruning.
