Hybrid Tea. Named for NZ's largest city so you know this rose is going to be really showy. Large shapely double blooms of deep tangerine orange with a hint of gold. Good strong fragrance, free flowering. Nice picking rose. 1982.

Climber - Floribunda. This rose has it all. Clusters of very fragrant, large, cupped, semi-double blooms in delicate blush pink fading to white with age. Strong vigorous growth habit. Can be grown as a large shrub or small climber. Multi award winner. PVR. 1987.

Climber. Beautiful trusses of semi-double clear pink blooms with cream highlights and a central halo of pronounced stamens. Dark green foliage and dark purple stems offset the fragrant flowers nicely. Gold Medal Winner. The name is French for morning light. 1960.

This lovely rose repeat flowers from summer through to autumn and is tolerant of some shade and poor soil.

Austin. Shrub/Climber. Described by David Austin as "their finest white rose to date" and appropriately named after his daughter Claire. Buds of pale lemon open to large white blooms with petals arranged in concentric circles. The plentiful blooms are very fragrant. Excellent disease resistance. 2011.

Claire Austin is also an established nursery woman growing perennials. Her book "Irises- A Gardeners Encyclopedia" is a "must have" for any Iris grower.

Austin Rose. The delicate blush pink blooms have a perfect old fashioned cupped form and a generous amount of petals. The blooms which have a strong perfume fade to white with age. Repeats well, growth upright and vigorous. Just lovely. 1986.

Hybrid Tea. A very hard rose to describe adequately with words, you really need a picture painted by the artist it is named after. Carmine red buds open to orange pink blooms with cream stripes and a hint of soft yellow. Nice light, fruity fragrance. Flamboyant! 1992. PVR.

Hybrid Tea. Deep red flowers with a gold reverse, perfectly formed with a lovely centre. Very large and full, borne mostly solitary bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Large, glossy, dark green foliage. Mild fragrant.
