aka Queen of Denmark

Alba. Named after the 'Queen of Denmark', this summer flowering Alba rose has very fragrant, double, quartered, mid pink flowers with a button eye. The flowers appear in plentiful clusters arching the branches with their weight. Flowers in spring only. Foliage is a grey-green and quite coarse. 1826

Hybrid Tea. A classic shaped Tea bud opening to large full blooms of plum-red and buff with soft yellow reverse. Mild fragrance. Similar to 'Peace' in lots of ways. Blooms in flushes through summer and autumn. Nice strong upright bush. SF. RP. 1965

Floribunda. An abundance of luscious red rose buds that open to reveal pink centers will delight from summer to autumn. Great for cutting. Bred by Rob Somerfield, this medium sized rose displays high disease resistance. Gold star winner of the South Pacific trial grounds (2018).

Austin Rose. Large, fullly cupped rosettes with outer petals that re-curve back slightly. Shaded a rich deep pink with a deliciously, fruity, fragrance with a hint of raspberry. Named for the late Baroness Strange who lived in Megginch Castle, Scotland. A good woman and a good rose. 2006.

Austin Rose. Robust and hardy with full double blooms that appear continuously throughout the season. The buds are a rich orange-red and open to reveal loosely arranged blooms in salmon with a golden yellow reverse on the petals. Nice fragrance and good disease resistance.

Named after the poem/song (Do you remember learning this at school?) The Lady of Shalott written by Alfred Lord Tenneyson. On either side the river lie Long fields of barley and of rye..............

Climber - Noisette. Large, white, double, flat and quartered blooms appear en masse on almost thorn-less stems. A very fragrant rose that has become one of the rose world's favourite white climbers. A vigorous grower that repeats well from spring to summer. Just lovely. 1830.
