Damask. A very ancient rose used extensively in Bulgaria for attar of roses. This automatically tells us that the perfume is deliciously delightful i.e. this rose is very fragrant! The blooms are somewhat shaggy, double and shaded a warm pink. Spring flowering. From the Middle East -pre 1700.

Hybrid Tea. This pink blend rose is very well named as the large well formed blooms are a striking blend of bright yellow, suffused with pink and red tones. Nice fragrance and strong healthy upright growth habit. Nice picking rose. 1997. Deciduous

Gallica. An upright rose that is a natural 'sport' from rose 'Tuscany'. The strong stems have few thorns and the dark crimson flowers are very strongly scented. The flowers are semi-double and have a nice prominent display of golden stamens. An easy to grow rose that flowers in early summer 1848.

Floribunda. Fully double bloomsq with a mass of ruffled bright red petals that are contained in a pleasing round shape. Lasts well in a vase. This rose is at its best planted in groups in the garden. Nice, neat compact growth habit, generally healthy and generous with bloom. 1977.

Tea. Sumptuous double flowers of creamy white with a touch of pink on the back. Fragrant. A tall shrub or can be grown as a climber. Blooms in flushes throughout the season
