Austin Rose. Not to be confused with a previous release AKA 'Wisley'. This is a rose with exceptional delicacy and charm with shallow cupped rosettes of bloom in a soft pink shade. The blooms are very fragrant and repeat well. Slightly arching habit.

Wisley is the research garden run the Royal Horticultural Society. The first 'Wisley' rose released by David Austin did not continue to meet the high standards expected of an Austin rose so it has been withdrawn and replaced with 'Wisley 2008'. F.Y.I.

Austin Rose. The double full blooms of this gorgeous rose are large and deeply cupped even when fully open. They have a strong fragrance and are coloured a deep magenta shade with a silvery hue. A lovely rose, lasts well when picked, and will provide you with plenty of blooms to enjoy.

Now this is interesting - the Poet Milton introduced the word fragrance to the English language. This very fragrant rose is named after the Milton poem called 'Lycidas' to commemorate the 400th anniversay of Milton's birth. Don't worry there won't be a test when you buy the rose!

Austin Shrub/Climber. Apricot-yellow buds open to a large showly cupped, many petalled rosette. They are a beautiful blend of subtle apricot-pink and soft yellow, giving the overall impression of apricot, with creamy outer petals. Strong, honey, myrrh fragrance. A vigorous climber with mid-green foliage.

The name was inspired by the heroine of Thomas Hardy’s Far from the Madding Crowd.

Standard. Austin Rose. An exceedingly pretty rose of soft, glowing apricot-pink, each bloom packed with numerous delicately ruffled petals. Held on red-tinged stems, the blooms begin as shallow cups, opening to full rosettes, revealing petals of a richer hue, which gradually pale over time. They have a delicious strong fruity fragrance.

Austin Rose. The light crimson buds open to reveal large, deep velvet crimson blooms that have a beautifull fruity fragrance. The blooms are double, full and cupped and can only be described as 'yum'. Repeats well and shows good disease resistance.

Munstead Wood was the name of Gertrude Jekyll's garden in Surrey. Gertrude Jekyll was an accomplished and influential garden writer and designer 1843-1932.
