I started breeding roses in 1983 and right from the start I set myself high standards, emphasizing the most important aspect of a rose is good health. It is my long held view that it is pointless producing a stunning flower if the plant on which it sits is a dud. The next most important attributes in my mind are Freedom of flowering and quick repeat. However, good foliage, bush shape, weather tolerance and beauty of the flower are also all on the list of standards that must be achieved. To accomplish all of the above, as well as fragrance, is the ultimate success.

Hybrid Tea. Named for the well known French Artist and no doubt inspired by his work. The flowers have tones of warm pink and red with brush strokes of bright white. Most unusual and striking. Healthy dark green foliage. Repeats well. PVR. 1992.

Patio Std. This award winning and eye-catching rose has pretty blooms of bright pink edged in silver white described as 'hand-painted'. The blooms show in generous clusters throughout the season. Glossy green disease resistant foliage. Bred in NZ by Rob Somerfield. Released in 2012.

This rose has a Flower Carpet seedling as one of its parents which lets you know it will be robust, hardy and easy to grow.

Hybrid Tea. Picture Perfect has vibrant pink blooms blended with cream produced singly on long stems. The foliage has a slight silver sheen making it the perfect compliment for the blooms. Patio. Purple pizzazz is a purple-cerise rose with a silvery white reverse that softens to a purple lavender with age. Produces an abundance of flowers in large clusters that exude a strong sweet perfume which is unusual in a patio rose. Compact and busy with very healthy dark foliage. Deciduous.

Floribunda. With a name like 'Scent to Remember' you absolutely know that this rose is going to smell delicious and it certainly does. Not only that, it has exquisite, peachy apricot coloured blooms and is seldom without a flower from spring to autumn. Healthy disease resistant foliage. PVR. 2006.
