A mound-forming shrub with dark green glossy leaves and loose, open, funnel-shaped, dark red flowers deeper at the margins with dark red spots which appear in the spring. Prefers dappled light or morning sun afternoon shade. Evergreen and feed with acid fertiliser.

Very compact shrub, bright pink flowers, paling with age, with dominant flare. Trusses are very round and compact and are held well to give a good display. The plant is hardy and has a good dense habit. Can suffer frost damage to the buds in very cold areas. Flowers Spring.
