A very special deciduous tree with a upright columnar habit, of the magnolia family.
The distinctive fresh green foliage is large and lobed and turns a warm golden yellow in autumn. The summer flowers are fabulous and tulip shaped, hence the trees common "The Tulip Tree". The tree is deep rooted, preferring a well-drained and slightly acidic soil, in a sunny location with part shade.
