Platanus, aka The Plane Tree or Planes, is a large handsome specimen.
Plantanus are tolerant of pollution, poor soil and limited moisture, making then a popular tree to plant near the roadside. The large leaves are shaded soft green and complement the attractive mottled bark.

This form of Plane Tree is native to Eastern Europe and Asia, though is so tolerant and hardy it will grow almost anywhere. The large dissected soft green foliage forms a broad round head set on a trunk with attractive grey mottled bark. A handsome tree indeed. Deciduous. 10 year height.
