Hi

Sale! Sale! Sale!

I know you have all been waiting for this, well yes the rain has arrived but apart from that, I meant that our big 50% off sale has begun.  If you are an on-line shopper then you have the advantage of being able to get in first and grab the plants you want.  Many of the plant varieties in the sale have low stock levels so speed will pay off if you want the full selection to choose from. There is a wonderful selection of plants in this years sale and of course the big one is the roses.  We now have 50% off the marked price of all roses that means standards, climbers, pillars, weepers, patios and bush so if they are in stock then you can have them at half price now. Again some of the varieties have only 1 left in stock so don't wait, if you have a particular rose you have been waiting for then get online now at www.wairere.co.nz and order it.  Here is a selection of the plants you will find in our half price sale.  Remember to hold your curser over the picture to see the name of the plant.

There are a number of plants that are unlabelled and so have been included in the 50% off special.  We have not included these for online purchase so you will need to come and make your selection yourself.

The geraniums are almost ready for winter and therefore not at their best so are also not available for online purchase.

Roses all 1/2 price
I love the fragrance of roses! When I pass a rose that I haven't seen before, or that I haven't seen in a while I find myself bending, hoping to bury my nose in the heady aroma that arises from the blooms, sometimes getting so close that any bees there probably want to either sting it or investigate it.  Although I love the form of roses and the beauty they display I have to admit to the feeling of disappointment when there is no fragrance but below you will find a small selection of some of the fragrant roses still here at the nursery that wont disappoint when you offer your nose to the bees.

Reduced! Reduced! Reduced!
Lots of plants, although not half price, are also heavily reduced.  Check them out in Family Deals section of the webpage or see them as you walk around the nursery. We are also continuing the 50% off selected pots, hydrangeas, dahlias, salvias, berberis and viburnums.

Gazanias now only $10 each as they are also getting ready for their winter dormancy.

There are so many new plants that have arrived this week that I am not going to list them here but instead direct you straight to the Just Arrived section of the website.

Kahikatea Homested B&B
The B&B has kicked of with a hiss and a roar.  We have had a number of guests to stay already and the response has been overwhelming.  There is lots to see and do here in Gordonton and Hamilton is only 10 mins down the road so you have a beautiful rural setting with the convenience of either a small town or a big city close at hand and don't forget that our gardens are available for viewing during your stay and of course with Harry and Lloyd as your hosts you cant go wrong.  Check us out at the website www.kahikatealodge.co.nz

Housekeeping
ANZAC Day approaches, if you are a Hamiltonian and didn't get to see the unveiling of the Sapper Moore-Jones memorial I hope you will check it out on ANZAC Day, it is a wonderful tribute to the memory of all those who gave their lives so that we could have peace.  Lets set the alarms for an early rise ANZAC morning pay our respects for their sacrifice.
I'm looking forward to the weekend as there is so much I have planned to get done, whatever you are planning, have a great weekend.
Lloyd, Harry and the Wairere Team.

Make it a Wairere weekend where even GNOMES know that gardening's not a drag
