This selected clone is well known for putting on a dazzling autumn display. The fresh green summer foliage gradually turns to rich tones of darkest crimson red as autumn arrives. Neat pyramidal habit and bark that is relatively smooth for a Liquidambar. Deciduous. Hgt in 10 year estimate only.

A handsome specimen tree with an upright form and graceful drooping outer branches. The large, lobed, green summer leaves turn striking shades of pale orange and apricot in autumn, eventually turning purple prior to leaf fall. Give it space so it can show its true glory. RHS AGM. Deciduous.

A very special deciduous tree with a upright columnar (fastigate) habit. The distinctive fresh green foliage is large and lobed and turns a warm golden yellow in autumn. The summer flowers are also most distinctive - tulip shaped, fragrant and coloured green with an orange base. Deciduous.

The Liriodendron is commonly known as the 'Tulip Tree' because of the shape of flowers. 'Arnold' may take 3 to 4 years to flower after planting. Happy in sun or part shade in deep acid soil that does not dry out completely in summer.

The Liriodendron is a close relative of the Magnolia and likes the same type of deep acid soil. It is more tolerant of moisture than the Magnolia. A perfect memorial tree to celebrate a birth. Give this tree the space it deserves to reach its full magnificence.
