The classic and much loved English Oak grows into a large, spreading tree with pale gray bark and shallowly-lobed green leaves that turn golden yellow prior to leaf fall. The perfect tree for large gardens, pond edges or paddocks. Acorns are much loved by wild-life, especially ducks. Deciduous.

The mighty Oak will live between 600 and 700 years so it really is a tree for life and is the perfect symbolic tree for families to plant to celebrate a new-born.

A handsome form of the ever enduring Oak that has an upright tight branch formation that grows into a natural column. Lobed green leaves that turn shades of yellow then brown before falling late in the winter. Hardy and tolerant but happiest in a sunny position. Deciduous.

The Latin 'fastigiata' literally means erect branches growing close together; columnar; upright.

Red Oak. A handsome specimen tree that once planted will be enjoyed for generations to come. Large lobed dark green leaves that colour well in tones of red and orange prior to leaf fall. Ideal paddock tree as it needs space to grow to its true glory. Deciduous. Height is 10 year estimate.

A spectacular tree with spring foliage of pale gold turning to a darker yellow with green tones during warmer months. In autumn deep golden tones come to the fore before leaf fall. Very easy to grow and tolerant of dry soils and frost. Deciduous.

Do you want something really different to feature in the garden or a container? The twisted contorted branches and lacy foliage of 'Lace Lady' will certainly attract attention. White fragrant flowers may occur in summer and nice yellow autumn foliage. Height will depend on graft. Deciduous.

Robinia are generally tolerant of poor soil but they like moisture and protection from strong wind. Flowering is possible but not guaranteed.

Here's something just a bit different. The 'Kilmarnock or 'Pussy' Willow has pendulous branches covered in fresh green leaves with a fleecy grey underside. Makes a nice weeping tree for the garden or beside a waterway. Silky catkins in spring before the foliage emerges. Easy to grow. Deciduous.

Upright form of Mountain Ash with grey-green foliage contrasting well with the large bunches of scarlet berries through summer and autumn. Berries best in colder districts. This hardy tree can tolerate heat or cold, strong winds and low humidity.
